Gianna's FIRST Christmas Eve and Christmas

Today was your very FIRST Christmas Eve!!! We went to Nani and Papa's house to celebrate!

CHRISTMAS DAY!

 We had the BEST day, woke up and opened up your presents Santa left.  You weren't too excited about the presents, more for the wrapping paper!! 

11 months old...one more monthly sticker!

Today you are 11 months old!  Time has gone by entirely too quick and each day I try to stop and think about how unbelieveably thankful I am that god brought you into my life.  You have changed me in so many ways, YOU, Gianna Elyse are my greatest accomplishment and I LOVE being your Mommy!
You've been busy lately...

~you have been working up to taking those first steps!  You can stand by yourself and at times you do take a step but fall forward. 

~you LOVE to mimic everything we say, sounds and words, you can say; Daddy, yay, hi and thank you. Yea I know "thank you"  its SO funny.  Everytime I ask you for something, you give it to me and I say thank you, recently you have been holding your hand out to get it back, then you say thank you!  I LOVE it!!!! 

~you have also developed a love of music!  You dance when any music is on, your dancing is more like just shaking your booty. =0)  

~you love to play with your baby or elmo doll.  You carry the baby around and sometimes will pat her!  You're so sweet to her most of the time, sometimes you drop her when something else seems more interesting. 

~you like to play with Mommy's phone.  I have a fisher-price app that sings the alphabet, number song and a shapes song.  When I give you my phone and the app starts up you squeal and clap, then you carry it around and dance to the songs or sometimes you plop down on the floor and watch

Getting into the Spirit of CHRISTMAS (first Christmas to be exact)

This weekend we had so much fun!  We started on Friday night with dinner at On the Boarder-you loved the chicken soft taco, black beans, rice and the fresh avocado!  After dinner we bundled up and headed out to Christmas on the River!  It was fun to walk around, listen to carolers and see the shops, and FIREWORKS!  This was the first time you saw fireworks b/c you weren't able to stay up on the 4th of July!

To go along with the Chirstmas spirited weekend we went to Crown Center to visit Santa.  Not too sure what you thought of him...for the longest time you just starred at him when you finally turned around, you looked like a deer in headlights! =)  Better than crying I guess.



What's new with you??

You have without a doubt been keeping us BUSY!  You are cruising all over the place, getting into everything of course!  You have been teething so much lately, you now have 2 bottom teeth, 2 top teeth and your bottom right tooth next to the 2 you already have. (we can see another coming in on the left side too).  You have been clapping your hands and saying yay, waving bye bye, and giving things to us when we ask for them.  You say "daddy" all the time!!!  We are really working on getting you to figure out what or who that is!  I think sometimes you know but when we get too excited after you say it, you just keep repeating it over and over to get a reaction! =)
You are quite the little ham! Everytime I take your picture it seems you just smile bigger and cheesier! haha

10 months old

You do not stop going! Our little energizer bunny!  I tried to take some 10 month photos of you this morning and these were as good as they got; you holding the remote, moving all around with your Minnie Mouse.  =)

Your FIRST Thanksgiving

Today was your FIRST Thanksgiving! We started the day by going to visit Grandpa and Grandma Cook.  You had fun playing and showing off all of your new tricks; clapping, pulling up and cruising on everything and mimicking our sounds. After you had a nap we headed to Nana and Papa's house.  We gave you a little sample of everything and let you have at it!  You LOVED the food.

Sick little G

This week was not the best week in our house!  After the past week of Jen, Nana, Daddy and Mommy being sick, you came down with a horrible sickness too!  

You had a fever, ear infection, respiratory infection and a sore throat according to the Dr.  Poor baby!  I hated seeing you so miserable but I did take advantage of the extra cuddles, because now days you are too busy playing and crawling and cruising to cuddle with me.

Gianna,
  You are getting so big so quickly.  You amaze me everyday!  Today you were playing with something and I asked you if Mommy could have it and you gave it to me.  Then you reached your hand out and I gave it back to you.  It was such a fun game and I thouroughly enjoyed watching you "give things to mommy".  Each day that passes my love for you grows.  It is so hard to believe all of that love fits in my heart! I love the way your smile lights up the room and everyone that you smile at smiles back at you.  I know that your sweet and innocent smile makes not only my day but the days of complete strangers.  I am so lucky to be your Mommy!  Seeing you grow and learn is truly the greatest accomplishment of my life!  I love you to the stars!

Mommy's 28th Birthday

Over the weekend Mommy celebrated her 28th birthday!  Nani and Papa took us out to dinner to celebrate. You were so funny, definitely entertaining the waitress and the other people around our table.  Here are some pictures from our dinner at Stroud's!

The next morning we kept our celebration going and had a yummy breakfast at IHOP.  You ENJOYED a little bit of everything Daddy and I ordered.  Here's a picture of breakfast!

Halloween

Today was your first Halloween!  We started the day by delivering these yummy treats to your friends at Jen's!  Jen said everyone enjoyed eating your yummy snack after lunch!

After Jen's we went over to Nana and Papa's for pizza! 

Then we went to visit Great Grandma Doris at the nursing home where you went Trick-or-Treating.  You thought it was cool to grab the candy from the ladies.  We had such a fun day but by the end of the night my little poodle was pooped!
