18 weeks old

This week was our very first week of SUMMER vacation together!  It feels soooo great to get to stay home with you again, I sure have missed it!  So far this week we have played (of course), worked on taking naps in our own bed, met your cousins from Colorado, went back to our breastfeeding support group and went shopping at Zona Rosa.  We've been busy!  Here are some photos from the week!





Playing with your toys-17 weeks old

It seems like over night you started to really PLAY with your toys!  You reach for them when we are holding them out for you and you also pick them up when you are sitting in your bouncy chair or sitting propped up in the couch with us and you pick them up when you're laying down on your play mat.

16 weeks old

This week was a big week for you...
Mommy has been noticing that you have been SUPER hungry lately and waking up more often at night so I called Dr. Beardman's office to see if it was time to start a little cereal.  They said YES, so Daddy went out and got some oraganic rice cereal. (not sure if the organic mattered or not but it makes mommy feel better)  We started giving you 1tbsp last night and you seemed to really enjoy it.  You also slept for 6.5 hours, much better than normal.

15 weeks

You are getting SO big, I know I say this every update but I just cannot believe how fast you are
growing, RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES!  
Some things you are LOVING-
your hands--you put them in your mouth,  and put them together
sounds we make--you love to  hear us make a clicking sound with our mouth as well as animal sounds
smiling--you have the BEST smile, you squeal at us when you are so excited
toys--you are starting to hold onto some of your toys and love to nibble on them too

Today while you were at Miss Denise's house she noticed you managed to pick up a toy and held onto it for awhile, she sent Mommy a picture of you doing it! I was SO EXCITED for you, and a tad jealous that I missed it...BUT once Mommy picked you up from Miss Denise's she was looking back at you on the way to Target and noticed you trying to pick up "Raffe" (your stuffed giraffe blanket)  Once we got to Target mommy just watched you and you did it, you picked up Raffe and of course, put her in your mouth! Yay big girl!

14 Weeks Old

You're 14 weeks old today!  You weight 11 lbs. 12 oz.!!!

11 weeks old

You're 11 weeks old and growing by the second. Daddy and Miss Denise think that this week there have been a couple days where it looked like you grew overnight!!!  You are now weigh 10lbs. 6oz. almost double your weight when you were born, only about 4 more ounces to go!

You love routine

This week was our second week with a real routine and I must say, you take after your Mommy because you LOVE it.  So far the past two weeks you have followed a pretty good routine that works great for our little family!
7am-you wake up to eat, Mommy gets you dressed, then you play with Daddy.
9am-naptime
11am-you wake up to eat at Miss Denise's house.  You normally play with her, do tummy time, read books etc after your bottle.
1230pm-naptime
2pm- time to eat. You have been eating 4.5-5oz bottles while you are over there! 
2:45-You fall back asleep for your long afternoon nap & don't wake up until Mommy comes to get you around 430
5pm-you eat again, then we have play time.  Mommy loves to talk to you and hear about your day.  You take a little nap around 630-7 then wake up to play and eat around 8.  Mommy normally puts you to bed at 930 after daddy gets home, then you wake up at 11 sometimes and sometimes you sleep through the 11 feeding.
3-4am you get up to eat

So far I cannot complain that you are only getting up once in the night!!!  I actually like that time we get to spend together because it's so quiet and sometimes you just look up at me while I whisper to you, it's pretty perfect!!

A week of firsts

This week was Mommy's first week back at school, Daddy's first week with a new work schedule 1145-830, and your first week at Miss Denise's house.  Wow, we all had a week of adjustments!!  Mommy didn't do as bad with the changes as I though I would, I cried Sunday, a little bit on Monday, a lot on Wednesday while I was driving to school and looked in the mirror and saw your empty seat and a little on Thursday because I just couldn't get enough hugs and kisses from you I missed you so much.  All in all I feel like I did better than expected.

Daddy did pretty well with his change in schedule too. Monday he was a running a tad late, Tuesday he lost his keys and you weren't cooperating but Wed-Fri went smoothly.

 He even took you on a morning walk and let you have some play time with your friends.

8th (and last...tear) Week Home With Mommy

This week was our last week at home until summer break and Mommy has taken time to soak it all in!  I am truly going to miss being here with you but I think it will be best for us to get into a routine and Mommy does miss teaching.  On Tuesday and Thursday you spent some time with Miss Denise, (she will be watching you when Mommy and Daddy are at work).  It was hard for Mommy to leave you there when she ran errands and got her haircut but it did feel nice to know you were in good hands.

5th week at home with Mommy

Only 2 weeks left...we have got a lot to do before Mommy goes back to work (tear).
 Here is our last 2 week bucket list
-take at least three walks each week
-practice holding up our head
-spend more time on our tummy
-continue our bedtime routine (you are doing awesome)
-finish up your nursery (you will be sleeping in there soon, fingers crossed)
-work on grasping your rattles and toys
-snuggle for at least 1 hour each day without interruptions (i.e. tv, phone, dogs)
I KNOW we can get everything done on our list, don't you!?!

4th week at home with Mommy

Our 4th week at home together, is winding down. 3 weeks left for us to spend together, until SUMMER at least. ;)
 Here are some happenings from the week;
--you have been wearing 0-3 months clothes (growing out of your newborn gear)
--you love sleeping on Mommy and Daddy's chests, Daddy caught us one morning taking a little snooze

--you are gaining so much control over your hear, working on holding it up and moving it around
--you enjoy "talkin" to us while hanging out in your boppy pillow

--you have been so gassy lately (not necessarily a good thing but it is quite funny how loud you are)
--you like looking at yourself in the mirror on the play mat
--you had your 1 MONTH BIRTHDAY this week, Mommy and you celebrated with extra snuggle time =)

--you enjoy Uncle Phil holding you

--you helped Great Unlce Joey celebrate his 50th birthday and bonded with Papa at the party

-you went on your first walk, as the weather this winter has been BEAUTIFUL
